rusty tank robot

Started this in photoshop and basically tried to start from a really rough painterly sketch and just block it out over many layers. Not sure what to do with it next, or how to polish it further. I know it's missing something. What do you think?

kazu taught me a neat trick, basically convert the image to grayscale and maximize the contrast all the way up. If the color is "good" (readable), you should still be able to see what's going on in pure black and white. I'd say that would be my one crit right now, it's hard to see it a bit because the values are all so close together. But I love the concept of it, and the bigness of it. It has a nice sense of scale without having to place a human there for reference, something I struggle with!

I agree that it's kinda hard to see what's going on. I really like it tho. I can't really paint so I don't have any useful critiques like amy. I do wish that the BG had texture to it too.
