Need to practice drawing more animals. They allude me and I think in general i usually draw faces. Trying to push myself to draw more things i don't usually draw. Push push push, get angry, get better.

Nightmare sketchbook page 02

This isn't actually the second or even the third image in the book but the fourth. The 2nd and 3rd pages were hitting a little too close to home in that they were images of one of my worst fears and nightmare which is nuclear fallout. Really creepy that I only drew it a month or two ago, and now well...

I'm going to be posting a page from the Nightmare sketchbook i did probably once a day along with starting up What the Ffff again, cause I need to inject a bit o energy here on this blog.

It's rough moving coast to coast...almost like starting over, luckily with a laptop a wacom tablet and an internet connection one can work anywhere.

Oh yea and pencil and paper...heh.

First finished sculpture! w00t!!!1

Aw man my sculpture class with Dave Cortes is finished. It was AWESOME! Might be doing some work with him really soon that i'm excited about.



I think I did alright for a first sculpt. Here's some more detail:

It's silly that I don't sculpt more because I love it! I've already started scultping my next practice piece; Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln,) from the live action version of the Walking Dead!

Let's see how I do. Here's where I'm at so far:

Rejected food network art

This was from a show opening I'm designing. It's going well and I'm pretty psyched that we're doing it in a sort of retro 60's UPA style. What I pitched to them was basically an homage to the Bewitched opening. I think that's why the went for it! WOOT!

Illustration Friday: Prehistoric

I love Illustration Friday because it's such a simple fun idea that gets the gears in my head turning. I've missed a bunch but i've been thinking about it for so long. My only complaint is that their site is a little funky to navigate.

New Year is fast approaching...

I'm always sketching, but not nearly enough as I want to, or to grow as much as I'd like. 2011 is going be the year where I post, update, grow, push my online presence and style more than any other time before. This depends entirely on my drawing constantly with no excuses.

Working on a Nightmare themed book for the sketchbook project and I need to get my ass moving on that pronto. Will be posting that as I make 'em.
