Late Illustration Friday for 6/11: Trail

Internet was down and didn't get to post.

When I thought of the theme i thought of Bilbo Baggins from my favorite book The Hobbit.

Not too happy with this one, but I'm keeping it up. Will have to do Bilbo and Tolkien justice next time.

Illustration Friday: Slither

Not all things that slither are villainous.

Lots of mistakes all about but overall I'm happy I tried to push both the narrative and composition and I think it sort of works.

Need to use more time to work on these in general.

Also cleaned my palette this time around and used my winsor & newton brushes instead of my quick travel brushes.

Took me 3 tries before I made something I liked. BAH! Ever have that problem?!? Frustrating as hell. But kept pushing and was happy with this!

I did ONE sketch. How lame.

Illustration Friday: Cocoon

A.K.A. Man Child...in his cocoon of geekiness. Don't worry he'll emerge a beautiful butterfly!

But I think the chosen quote sums it up better (I also kind of twisted the cocoon part of the quote around...oh vell!)
